TLA.ASIA is a project under Numan Hature Pte Ltd.

We are committed to protect and respect your personal data privacy and complying with data protection principles and provisions under applicable laws, including the Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act (“PDPA”) 2012 (No. 26 of 2012) and EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”).

This document represents a legal document that serves as our data protection policy (“Data Protection Policy”) which sets out the basis and terms upon which TLA.ASIA collects, processes, uses and/or discloses your personal data that is obtained from you when you access our Website and/or such other product and services provided by us, our partners and affiliates or our third party services providers.

PERSONAL DATA

We keep the personal data secure and make it accessible to staff on a need to know basis. We have implemented generally accepted standards of operational security in order to protect personal data from loss, misuse, alteration or destruction. Only authorised personnel are provided access to personal data and these employees have agreed to ensure confidentiality of this information.

ACCURACY OF PERSONAL DATA

We generally rely on personal data provided by you or your authorised representative. In order to ensure that your personal data is current, complete and accurate, please update us if there are changes to your personal data via email or contact.

PERSONAL DATA RETENTION

Personal data provided by you will be retained as long as the purpose for which the data was collected continues or where there is a legal or business purpose for such retention. Thereafter, we will destroy or delete the information, or remove the means by which the data can be associated with you, unless its retention is required to satisfy legal, regulatory, accounting or other business requirements or to protect TLA.ASIA’s interests.

YOUR PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION RIGHTS

We will take reasonable steps to ensure the accuracy and completeness of any personal data held about you. To the extent you have provided us with your consent, you have the right to ask us not to process your personal data for marketing purposes. We will inform you (before collecting your data) if we intend to use your data for such purposes or if we intend to disclose your information to any third party for such purposes. You can exercise your right to prevent such processing by checking certain boxes on the forms we use to collect your data, or by contacting us at the email address below. You may request access to, or correction of your personal data that is in our possession or control. Additional privacy policies may be applicable in certain circumstances, for instance where you have agreed our terms and conditions, or otherwise entered into another contract with us or any member of TLA.ASIA. To enable us to process your requests promptly you should provide us with full details of the particular information sought, and documentary evidence of your identity. You agree that we may need to check and verify your identity and may contact you for further information. You can contact us at any time in order to exercise these rights, to ask any questions related to the Policy or to let us know of any complaint you have relating to the Policy or our use of your data by contacting us at the relevant contact entities below. Any access request may be subject to fees depending on the nature of your request, in order for us to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you and as permitted under the PDPA. If applicable, we will inform you of the applicable fees and payment must be received by us before we proceed further with your request.

COLLECTION, USE AND DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL DATA

We generally do not collect your personal data unless it is provided to us voluntarily by you directly or via a third party who has been duly authorised by you to disclose your personal data to us after you have been notified of the purposes for which the data is collected, and you have provided written consent to the collection and usage of your personal data for those purposes, or collection and use of personal data without consent is permitted or required by the PDPA or other laws. We shall seek your consent before collecting any additional personal data and before using your personal data for a purpose which has not been notified to you (except where permitted or authorised by law).

We may collect and use your personal data for any or all of the following purposes:

  • performing obligations in the course of or in connection with our provision of the goods and/or services requested by you;
  • managing your relationship with us;
  • processing payment or credit transactions; and
  • any other purposes for which you have provided the information.

We may disclose your personal data:

  • where such disclosure is required for performing obligations in the course of or in connection with our provision of the goods and services requested by you; or
  • to third party service providers, agents and other organisations we have engaged to perform any of the functions with reference to the above mentioned purposes.

WITHDRAWING YOUR CONSENT 

The consent that you provide for the collection, use and disclosure of your personal data will remain valid until such time it is being withdrawn by you in writing. You may withdraw consent and request us to stop collecting, using and/or disclosing your personal data for any or all of the purposes listed above by submitting your request.

Upon receipt of your request to withdraw your consent, we may require reasonable time for your request to be processed and for us to notify you of the consequences of us acceding to the same, including any legal consequences which may affect your rights and liabilities to us.

Whilst we respect your decision to withdraw your consent, please note that depending on the nature and scope of your request, we may not be in a position to continue providing our goods or services to you and we shall, in such circumstances, notify you before completing the processing of your request.

Please note that withdrawing consent does not affect our right to continue to collect, use and disclose personal data where such collection, use and disclose without consent is permitted or required under applicable laws.
